T-Cups

Chihuahua & Yorkies. . . The breed standard recognizes two varieties of chihuahuas, the long coat and the smooth coat.  Yorkies only have one standard. Occasionally, within a litter, there may be a puppy that is unusually small.  That puppy is a small chihuahua or yorkie and any other breakdown  is not officially correct.

The term T-Cup is a popular  term used by the public to designate a  small dog of a small breed.  Chihuahuas and yorkies have no official break down in size.   We use the term T- Cup for pups that have a charted adult weight of less than 5 lbs.   Please check the puppy's page for the charted weight.
